Line a 12-cup muffin tin with baking cups. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in the chocolate chips. In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and vegetable oil. Beat in the mashed bananas, water and vanilla. With a spatula, fold in the dry ingredients until combined. Divide the batter evenly between the muffin cups (about 1/3 cup per muffin).
